Your Gift Creates Real Change. Real Relief. Real Hope.

Because we all deserve to age with dignity

For over 40 years, we've been showing up, creating solutions for the unmet needs of older adults in Middle Tennessee. Not because it's glamorous work, but because it's necessary.

You make this possible! By committing to a monthly recurring gift, you can show up for older adults and caregivers too.

Your donation allows AgeWell Middle TN to provide resources to family caregivers like Kendra.

Kendra is a caregiver for her mother, Amelia, who has Stage 5 Parkinson's Disease and Heart Disease. Amelia was living alone when she began having intense hallucinations, once even calling the police because she thought she was in danger. Recognizing it was not safe for her mom to be alone, Kendra made the decision to move Amelia into her home. Because Kendra works full time and can not be home with Amelia 24/7, she needs lots of in-home support and activities for her mother.

Kendra contacted Eldercare Coach for resources to provide companionship and distractions from the hallucinations. These resources included Adult Day Programs and Sunny Day Clubs to provide supervision and socialization. Eldercare Coach also provided Directory listings for agencies that provide non-medical caregivers in the home, educated her on resources that can ease cost of care, provided resources for education and support groups specifically for Parkinson's Disease, and encouraged Kendra to seek out support for herself as the caregiver.

Thank you for your time and talking me through the options for her care. I didn't know where to begin, and now I have various resources at my disposal to begin taking some of the load off me while creating a better environment for my mom.

Will you join our Giving Every Month Society to fund more resources and advocacy for older adults and caregivers in our community during this challenging time?
